Take out boxes are a cute way to package just about anything you can imagine. Their recognizable shape makes them exciting to make, to receive and to give away! Because of the handle, they are super easy to carry around, a characteristic that most people greatly appreciate.
-Piece of wire, or thin ribbon
-X-acto Knife or Scissors
Lets Get Started:
Begin by cutting out all of the solid lines using your trusty pair of scissors, or X-actor knife.
Take your bone folder and score out all of the dotted lines. This box is tricky to fold because some lines have a slight angle, so be careful with that and go over each line separately.
Fold the 4 dotted-lines that are at a 45 degree angle from the square section in the middle of the template, make sure not to fold the square in any way (otherwise your box will be wonky).
Take the two dotted lines surrounding both sides of those 45 degree fold we just made and squeeze them together so they are touching. Again be careful not to fold the square.
Fold the two dotted lines together as shown in the picture.
Continue this fold for all the corners so they look like the picture below. use the hole punch to punch the dot at the end of the 2 flaps.
Take a ribbon or wire and thread if through the holes on either side of the box to make a handle for the box. this will also hold the 4 corners of the box together. No glue needed, how neat!
