Cornstarch Based Adhesive
This adhesive is entirely natural and safe. You could take a spoon and eat if you ever felt like it (not that we think you should, but you get the point). You can make this adhesive at home by following this recipe :
3/4 cup water,
2 tablespoons corn syrup,
1 teaspoon white vinegar,
2 tablespoons cornstarch,
3/4 cup cold water (yes, again!)
In a saucepan, mix together the first 3/4 cup of water, the corn syrup and the vinegar. Bring this mixture to a full boil. In a bow, mix the cornstarch and the remaining 3/4 cup of cold water. Add the cold mixture to the hot mixture stirring regularly until it comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute and remove from heat. Allow to cool and let stand overnight before using.
