Don’t be fooled by its name, the Classic Chocolate Box is very versatile. These boxes make for a great gift idea and are sure to leave an impression when people see how far you went to make your wonderful treats! (Oh the things we do in the name of DIY!). Beside, on top of being good for homemade chocolates or truffles, they are great for stacking and storing anything you might think desire.
Heres what you will need:
-truffles, chocolates or whatever you can fit
-Food Safe Glue (check article: Safe Glue for Food Boxes)
-X-acto Knife or Scissors
Lets Get Started:
Print out the Download template found at the top of the page. After you’ve cut out all of the solid lines, use the bone folder and ruler to score out all of the dotted lines of the box. Next, fold all of these lines as shown below.
Take some glue and brush it onto the top of the side tab (the glue should be applied to the non-dotted side of the tab). Make sure to only use a little bit of glue because the more you use, the more chance that the paper will warp. now take the tab and glue it to the inside of the opposing wall as shown in the second picture bellow. The glue should only take a few moments to dry.
At the bottom of the box take the two flaps on each of the narrower sides and use their tabs to fold behind the bottom flap, as depicted bellow.
Once placed properly, take the flap on top and push it into the bottom flap (though the opening) as shown below.
And thats it! Fill it up with your favorite treats close up the box!
